On Monday, July 14th, the Cocomero Run by Night took place, the now-traditional summer evening event at Rome’s Parco degli Acquedotti. The Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon joined the run with its pacers and mascot, Halfie.
The CocoRun wasn’t a race, but a fun training session that ended with everyone enjoying fresh watermelon together, all in the stunning setting of the Roman aqueducts.
The Parco degli Acquedotti is one of the green lungs of southeastern Rome — a true crossroads of the ancient city’s water network and part of the Appian Way Park. Its name comes from the remains of 6 of the 11 aqueducts that made Rome famous throughout the world.
