One city, one race
A timeless emotion
On October 18, 2026, the third edition of the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon by Brooks that made the heart of Rome beat returns to the capital. After the great success of the second edition, the event is once again ready to offer a unique experience of running, emotion, and wonder. The course, set against the city’s millennia-old history, winds its way through iconic monuments and breathtaking views. It’s an opportunity to experience Rome like never before, as a true protagonist, driven by the energy of a city that runs with you.
The Race of the second edition
The race starts on Via del Circo Massimo, near the Roseto, with an initial downhill stretch of about 350 meters before turning left onto Lungotevere Aventino. From there, runners head toward the vibrant Quartiere Testaccio, passing through Via Marmorata and Via Galvani, then skirting the base of Monte dei Cocci along Via Zabaglia.
After leaving Testaccio, the course continues on the flat Via Ostiense, reaching the Basilica di San Paolo Fuori le Mura just before the 4th kilometer. Here, the route reverses direction, following Via Ostiense back toward Piazzale Ostiense, with the iconic Pyramid Cestia, in its distinctive Egyptian style, on the left.
