Start from Porta Ardeatina and the first kilometres

From Porta Ardeatina, runners will head along Circonvallazione Ostiense and Via Ostiense, a stretch that leads them back toward the Piramide Cestia and Porta San Paolo, before moving on to the Circo Massimo and the Isola Tiberina.
This is where the race truly comes alive: Rome opens up before them with its contrasts, between archaeology and glimpses of the Tevere.

Lungotevere and Castel Sant’Angelo

Running along the Lungotevere, participants will reach Castel Sant’Angelo, one of the most evocative moments of the entire course. From there, they will enter Via della Conciliazione, the beautiful avenue leading them to admire San Pietro — a spectacular and unprecedented passage for this third edition.

Foro Italico

After the enchantment of San Pietro, runners will continue north towards the Foro Italico, reaching kilometre 13. It is the farthest point of the course, where the city changes face and opens up to new views before heading back toward the centre.

The return to the heart of Rome

From here, the race turns back, crossing some of the most iconic places in the capital: the Ara Pacis, Piazza del Popolo, and Piazza di Spagna. The course continues along Via del Tritone and Via del Corso until Piazza Venezia, dominated by the Altare della Patria. Then comes Via dei Fori Imperiali, a corridor of history guiding the final kilometres.

The grand finale

The last stretch is a promise: Via Cavour, one final uphill push, and then the finish line on Via degli Annibaldi, with the Colosseo right in front of them. A finish like no other — a final act worthy of the journey.
