On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the second edition of the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon 2025 “Jubilee Edition” will take place in Rome. The race, a medium-distance running event (21 km), will start from the Circus Maximus and finish on Via degli Annibaldi. The inaugural edition recorded the highest number of participants ever for a half marathon in Italy, with an impressive 17,124 runners. The event will be preceded, on the afternoon of Saturday, October 18, 2025, by a kids’ race (for children up to 14 years old) and a special event called Longevity Run, dedicated to wellness and prevention. This includes a 5 km non-competitive run open to all, starting from Via delle Terme di Caracalla and finishing at the Martellini Stadium. Participants will also have the opportunity to spend the day in the Longevity Village, set up at the Nando Martellini Stadium, enjoying activities focused on information, exercise, and cardiovascular prevention. Free health check-ups will be available to monitor major risk factors (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, BMI, smoking, diet, physical activity, sleep), thanks to the support of the A. Gemelli University Hospital and researchers from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. As part of the event, the Lazio Regional Command of the Guardia di Finanza, in collaboration with the Rome Chamber of Commerce, RCS Sport & Events, and Roma Ostia SSD, is organizing the 4th edition of the “Rome Runs for Legality” Trophy, “a race within the race”, aiming to promote, through sport, a message about the civic and educational value of economic legality, social solidarity, and environmental sustainability. Adding further prestige to the event will be the participation of athletes from the Fiamme Gialle Sports Group, as well as national and international athletes, and cadets from the training institutions of the Guardia di Finanza.
During the event days, the Guardia di Finanza will also set up informative and promotional booths.
