PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

 

FOREIGN ATHLETES NON-RESIDING IN ITALY

Foreign athletes non-residing in Italy must be 18 or older on the day of the race. In order to register for the race, these athletes must provide one of the following documents:

 

>> WITH TOURIST-SPORTING GOALS

If you run with tourist-sporting goals race you can simply register online and then approve the liability waiver form on your reserved area with the upload of your ID.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATES FOR FOREIGNERS IN ITALIAN MARATHONS AND HALF MARATHONS NO LONGER REQUIRED.

 

>> WITH ATHLETICS FEDERATION

1) Athletes that are members of clubs affiliated with foreign athletic associations recognized by WORLD ATHLETICS must send a

Declaration for athletes registered with a Foreign Federation completed and signed by e-mail to info@romehalfmarathon.it

The membership card must be valid on the date of the Rome Half Marathon 2024; it must comply with all the rules and regulations on road running enforced in the athlete’s country of residence upon registration.

 

FOREIGN ATHLETES RESIDING IN ITALY

Foreign athletes residing in Italy must have the same requirements as the Italian athletes (must be members of a Fidal – please, read the Italian rules).

1) Athletes registered in associations affiliated with FIDAL and other CIP Federations (for disabled athletes’ categories). The athlete must supply a copy of the renewal registration in FIDAL for 2024, or other CIP membership card (for disabled athletes’ categories). If registration takes place before renewal of membership, the athlete should in any case send a copy of FIDAL 2024 renewal or a substitute declaration, written on their Association’s letterhead and signed by the Association’s Chairman as soon as possible. Scanned copies of all documents can be emailed to info@romehalfmarathon.it

2) Athletes who are not members of Fidal who have a Runcard along with a medical certificate for competitive athletics.
