The Journey of Prevention Continues
Longevity is not a gift of nature, but something you achieve step by step—just like reaching the finish line at the end of a race.
For this reason, the doctors of the Policlinico A. Gemelli and the researchers of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore created the Longevity Run project, aimed at raising awareness among citizens about adopting healthy lifestyles and encouraging cardiovascular prevention.
The Route *
The 2025 Longevity Run unfolds along a fascinating 5.2 km course that winds through some of the most iconic and historic areas of the Capital. The race will start from Viale delle Terme di Caracalla, on the central carriageway heading towards the Circus Maximus, passing through some of Rome’s most evocative spots.
The route will take runners through Piazza di Porta Capena, Via dei Cerchi, Via del Teatro di Marcello, and Piazza Venezia, before following the spectacular Via dei Fori Imperiali all the way to the Colosseum. From there, it will continue along Via Celio Vibenna and Via di San Gregorio, heading back towards the Terme di Caracalla for a turnaround near Via Antonina.
After taking the side road of Viale delle Terme di Caracalla towards the Nando Martellini Stadium, runners will make a second turnaround at Largo Vittime del Terrorismo. The finish line will be inside the Nando Martellini Stadium—a perfect setting to conclude a route that blends sport, health, and beauty.
