Taking care of oneself, today for tomorrow
For the 2025 edition, the Organising Committee has chosen to enhance the distinction between the two days of the event.
In particular, the first day will be entirely dedicated to the Longevity Village: a space conceived to offer in-depth analysis, moments of prevention and opportunities for discussion on the best strategies to promote healthy and active ageing.
Longevity Village: an experience of prevention and awareness
An essential focus will be devoted to cardiovascular prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles, key elements in improving the population’s health and well-being.
Longevity Check-up 8+
Thanks to the support of the Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli medical team, participants will be able to monitor the main 8 cardiovascular risk factors:
- Blood pressure
- Blood glucose
- Cholesterol
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Diet
- Exercise
- Smoking
- Sleep
A valuable opportunity to assess one’s state of health and receive personalised advice on how to improve it.
Special focus on prevention
-
Simple sugar consumption: a key metabolic health parameter, with direct effects on weight, cardiovascular health, teeth, and energy levels.
-
Salt consumption: by means of a special questionnaire, it will be possible to identify risky habits linked to heart attacks and strokes, and to raise awareness on issues such as water retention, bloating and osteoporosis.
VO2 MAX Test – 3-Minute Step Test
A simple test to measure aerobic capacity and the maximum amount of oxygen that can be utilised during physical activity: a key indicator of cardiovascular endurance.
Research and active involvement
Participation in the Longevity Village will also contribute to the advancement of longevity research and the dissemination of healthy lifestyles.
During all stages of the Longevity RUN 2025, a questionnaire on Italians’ vaccination habits will be administered, with the aim of assessing the level of awareness and promoting a culture of prevention.
