On October 19, the second edition of the Rome Half Marathon returns,the event that made the heart of the capital beat faster. After the great success of last year, this unforgettable experience is back, ready to blend running, emotion, and awe. The course winds through the city’s millennia-old history, passing iconic landmarks and breathtaking views, with a spectacular finish in front of the Colosseum. It’s a chance to experience Rome like never before, as the true protagonist, driven by the energy of a city that runs with you.

The Race *
The race starts on Via del Circo Massimo, near the Municipal Rose Garden, with an initial downhill stretch of about 350 meters before turning left onto Lungotevere Aventino. From there, runners head toward the vibrant Testaccio district, passing through Via Marmorata and Via Galvani, then skirting the base of Monte dei Cocci along Via Zabaglia.
After leaving Testaccio, the course continues on the flat Via Ostiense, reaching the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls just before the 4th kilometer. Here, the route reverses direction, following Via Ostiense back toward Piazzale Ostiense, with the iconic Pyramid of Cestius, in its distinctive Egyptian style, on the left.
