Rome, October 15, 2025 – The Village of the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon, the official half marathon of the Capital organized by RomaOstia and RCS Sports & Events, will open tomorrow, Thursday, October 16, ahead of the race scheduled for Sunday, October 19. The Village will be hosted at Eataly Roma Ostiense, in Piazzale 12 Ottobre 1492. The area adjacent to Eataly’s Rome headquarters will become the heart of the sporting event. Here, runners will be able to pick up their race kits, get all the race details, and visit numerous stands showcasing the products and innovations of the event’s partners. The Village will remain open until Saturday evening. A rich program of events and activities will animate these four days dedicated to sport and running in the Capital. A special open event is also scheduled: the Pasta Party, a two-day celebration taking place on Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will feature delicious pasta-based recipes created by special guests. From traditional dishes to creative reinterpretations, the culinary offerings will satisfy every taste. More information available at www.eataly.it.

The second edition of Italy’s most popular half marathon is set to welcome an impressive wave of runners: 22,000 participants are registered, including 9,600 women (44 percent). The percentage of international participants previously announced has been confirmed: three out of four runners (72 percent) will come from abroad. The countries with the largest delegations are France (3,610 runners), Spain (1,952), the United Kingdom (1,593), and Germany (1,068). Noteworthy are also participants coming from further afield, including 431 runners from the United States, 369 from Brazil, and 206 from Mexico, along with a strong presence from Northern Europe, particularly Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.

The preparation for the Rome Half Marathon has also actively involved the adidas Runners communities of Milan and Rome, with a calendar of dedicated sessions designed to help participants get ready for the upcoming 21 km in the best possible way.
adidas will also be present at the Village with its Running Lab, a space open to all runners where they can test the brand’s most advanced running shoe technologies.

The Route
The distance follows the official half marathon length of 21.097 km — a fast route that attracts runners chasing their best time as well as those seeking an unforgettable experience.
The race will start from Via del Circo Massimo (near the Roseto) and finish along Via degli Annibaldi, offering a breathtaking view of the Colosseo — a finish line that promises to thrill all participants.
A fitting conclusion for an international event held in the Jubilee Year, which will be commemorated on the official race shirt, designed once again by adidas.

The first wave of runners will start at 8:30 a.m.
The route is truly one of a kind, allowing participants to run through some of Rome’s most scenic and iconic landmarks, including Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, and Piazza Venezia, with a stunning view over the Foro Romano.
