Rome, January 29, 2026 – Following the great success of the second edition, which welcomed 22,304 runners from all over the world, registration is now open for the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon 2026.

The race, with both start and finish lines in the heart of the city, is scheduled for October 18, 2026: 21 kilometers and 97 meters through the wonders of the Eternal City, making it the most participated half marathon in Italy. The event is organized by RomaOstia and RCS Sports & Events for the Municipality of Rome and in 2025 recorded a participation record, with a strong female presence (one woman for every two starters) and a large number of young runners. A very fast race, with three athletes finishing under one hour.

Joining the Organizers for the third edition is a new Presenting Sponsor and Official Technical Partner: Brooks Running. The company, a leader in high-performance running footwear and apparel, will provide technical support and outfitting for the event, as well as activate a program of training sessions and experiences to help runners prepare for race day, including training programs, social runs, and dedicated activations.

“In Rome, running and history meet at every corner of the city — and we’re thrilled to be part of this experience,” said Jim Miles, EMEA Marketing Director. “We’ll support runners from the starting line to the finish and help make this edition the most exciting one yet.”
